7 (Mostly Pink) Recipes for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day baking always starts out kind of casually then suddenly there are bowls everywhere, something’s in the oven, and kids are very involved in the taste-testing. These 7 (mostly pink) treats lean into that energy: easy, a little messy, and perfect for little hands to help with stirring, scooping, and sneaking bites along the…

Mother’s Day brunch is never really a plan in my head – it’s more like things slowly start appearing on the table. Something’s baking, something’s already being eaten, coffee is definitely happening (constantly), and somehow it all starts to feel really intentional. There are sweet things, fresh things, and ideally, some pink in the mix.

These 7 (mostly pink) Sweet Treats for Mother’s Day are all about low-stress baking, minimal fuss, and maximum “we made this together” energy. Think stirring, scooping, decorating, taste-testing, and very little pressure for perfection.

Strawberry Cookies

These feel like if strawberries had a PR team. Roasted for max flavor, baked into a naturally pink dough, and somehow both soft and crispy. They look cute, yes, but they also fully deliver.

Strawberry Cookies

If you want a cookie that tastes like a bright pop of strawberries in every bite – it's this one. Freshly refurbished from an old recipe of mine, this method roasts strawberries before mixing them into a naturally pink dough. What this does is create a cookie that's tender on the inside and crispy on the edges. Oh, and did I mention it's stunningly pink while using no artificial coloring?

Cherry Chocolate Pretzel Cookies

Sweet, salty, chocolatey, and a little bit chaotic in the best way. These are perfect for little hands to help mix, roll, and sprinkle, and they come together fast enough that no one loses interest halfway through.

Cherry Chocolate Pretzel Cookies

One base dough, three flavors, all rolled together into a marbled cookie that’s sweet, salty, chocolatey, and a little crunchy. Roll in turbinado sugar for a crackly top and maximum flavor, you get Valentine’s vibes with zero decisions required!

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Muffins

I wanted something that felt like chocolate covered strawberries but more relaxed and way more brunch-y. These are soft, super moist, loaded with strawberry flavor, and just chocolatey enough to make them feel like a treat without overdoing it.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Muffins

While these muffins themselves might not be chocolate covered, they feel exactly like biting into a chocolate covered strawberry – except a little warmer, a little gooier, and definitely more moist. You'll be shocked at how well the strawberry flavor comes through on these, and for that I have a massive amount of freeze-dried strawberries to thank.

Raspberry Muffins with Basil Syrup

These are the “we’re being a little fancy but still keeping it easy” option. Juicy raspberries, soft muffins, and a fresh basil syrup that feels special without adding stress. Your little helpers can mash berries or drizzle syrup at the end.

Raspberry Muffins with Basil Sugar

I can confidently say these are the best raspberry muffins ever. They are insanely easy, and the basil sugar is supremely simple, but absolutely takes them to the next level. They are moist on the inside, fluffy throughout, crispy on top, and packed with fresh raspberries. When berry season starts, get ready, because you'll want to make these on repeat!

Strawberry and Raspberry Scones

These scones are giving peak spring energy. Jammy pockets of roasted berries, buttery layers, and just enough sweetness to feel like a treat. They’re perfect to break out for dessert or for a slow Mother’s Day morning (preferably with something hot to drink and no rush to be anywhere else).

Strawberry Shortcake

The ultimate “let’s assemble this together” dessert. Soft biscuits, whipped cream, and juicy strawberries that basically require no skill but still feel impressive. Set everything out and let everyone build their own.

Strawberry Shortcake

In the summer, I think a classic Strawberry Shortcake is as close as you can get to the perfect dessert. Here, the recipe is as traditional as you can get, with an extra add of citrus sugar that makes it just a little more special. This recipe has it all, subtly sweet strawberries that have been mixed with the citrus sugar, shortcakes that fall apart with just a nudge of your spoon (a very good thing!), and whipped cream to bring it all together. It's an ideal summer dessert, and a classic for a reason.

Strawberry Chocolate Truffles

Rich, creamy, and surprisingly low-effort, these truffles skip the usual fuss without losing any of the decadence. A little chocolate, a lot of strawberry, and a method that just makes things so much easier. Plus, if you’re having guests, they make for the cutest favors!

Strawberry Chocolate Truffles

These strawberry chocolate truffles are creamy, decadent and simple to make! The choppable method means no rolling, zero fuss and no mess.

And that’s it for these 7 (Mostly Pink) Sweet Treats for Mother’s Day! Whether you’re baking with kids, hosting, or just helping fill the dessert table, these should have you covered.

If you make any of them, please let me know on Pinterest or Instagram, I’d love to hear what you think.

Xoxo,
